DAY 10 of 24 Day Challenge (JAN 17)

Jesus often taught by using parables. Parables are lessons put alongside something else to help make the lesson more clear. The various soils in the parable represent different responses to the Word of God. The truth of God's Word must take root in the heart of the one who reads it. Just like in Jesus' day, many people claim to follow Christ but they really do not let His Word produce fruit in their life. Warren Wiersbe said, "Unless there is fruit in the life, there is not saving faith in the heart." Those who read or hear God's Word have a great responsibility to respond appropriately.
